COURSE (2-hours):
$130 for 1-person or $100 each for 2 or more persons
Our Intro to AR-15 course is designed for beginners with little or no experience with firearms. It will provide you with a solid foundation in the basic skills and fundamentals of operating an AR-15 style rifle.
The first hour is conducted in the classroom where the student will learn:
- Firearms Safety
- Parts, Nomenclature and Function of AR-15 style platform
- Loading, Unloading, and Clearing
- Fundamentals of Long gun Marksmanship
The second hour is at the gun range where the student will learn to zero their rifle and practice in a live-fire environment.
Students attending this class will need to bring:
- Eye and Ear protection
- An AR-15 (a loaner AR-15 is available at no extra charge)
- 40 rounds of Ammunition (only M193 ball ammo, no M855 green tip permitted!)
- Appropriate Range Attire (no open-toe shoes or sandals)
- Valid Photo ID
*NOTE – Lessons are conducted at Red’s Indoor Range, located at 1908 W. Pecan St, Pflugerville, TX 78660. You are responsible for the $20 / person range fee paid to Red’s and the cost of your ammunition.
