WHAT ABOUT SHOTGUN AND LONG GUN (AR-15) COURSES?
We generally recommend Handgun training as a first step for the following reasons:
- The basics of safety, handling, loading, unloading, aiming and firing which you learn with handguns transfer directly to using other types of firearms.
- Handguns are easily concealable and more readily accessible for personal defense.
- Obtaining your Texas License-to-Carry is an easy process and familiarizes one with topics such as laws concerning carrying of weapons, self-defense law, methods for de-escalation, and safe storage of firearms.
However, handgun experience is not required if you are interested in learning to use a shotgun or long gun. We offer this training in the following formats:
- 1-on-1 Private Lessons
- Intro to Shotgun Course (2-hours)
- Intro to AR-15 Course (2-hours)
